CDL trainings scheduled at the New River CTC | State and region
The New River Community and Technical College is offering six-week Class A CDL trainings this spring as well as a preparatory class for CDL learners at the college’s Center for Advanced Technology in Ghent.
Class A CDL courses will begin on February 7 and April 11. The class meets Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for six weeks. Students receive 180 contact hours of training to prepare them for the driving test, and students can take the test onsite in the college truck on the last day of class.
New River CTC also offers a preparation class for learners, and classes are scheduled the week of January 31 and April 4.
CDL students must have a full Class E license for one year and obtain a CDL Class A learner’s permit before classes begin.
New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division offers community education courses and employable education opportunities, including non-credit courses, workforce development programs and personalized training.
New River Community and Technical College serves nine counties in southeastern West Virginia from Greenbrier Valley Campus (Lewisburg), Mercer County Campus (Princeton), Nicholas County Campus (Summersville) and from the Raleigh County campus (Beaver).
